Wearing Leggings: Preventing the Dreaded Camel Toe

November 27, 2014

Years ago, women fought tooth and nail for equality (and the right to wear pants). Perhaps we women should stick to leggings instead. There are many types of pants for women. Admittedly, slacks are comfortable, but nothing fits as comfortably as leggings do, especially when we need comfort most. Leggings fit snugly around the contours of our bodies and accommodate for bloating at that time of the month.

Although leggings are not pants per se, they do the same job and much more comfortable, too. They hide what needs to be hidden and flatter almost any body, provided they are worn right. Leggings are incredibly versatile and as hip as one can get.

However, the key to women wearing the pants in the home, is keeping the camel toe well out of sight... Here's how:

1. Stick to Opaque Leggings

Make sure the leggings are not transparent. Leggings are meant to be opaque and see-through is meant for tights. Wear leggings in thick, opaque and matte fabrics to ensure that your underwear remains concealed from the general public. Thick fabric will ensure that your secret garden remains... a mystery.

2. Keep Tops at Mid-Thigh

Wearing tops that drop to mid-thigh or to full length will also ensure that no one can see your nether regions. The idea is to look chic while remaining comfortable at the same time. There are a multitude of options available when it comes to choosing what to wear with leggings while remaining classy.

3. Buy Quality Leggings

When you're tempted to buy budget leggings, be sure to choose good quality leggings. The cheaper brands tend to fade quicker. Buying more expensive brands will save you money as they last longer and this is important if you are going to wear your leggings often.

One good, yet affordable option, is our beautiful seamless black leggings are a classic that is a must-have for any woman's wardrobe. Seamless construction and form-flattering fit, these leggings are sure to be your new favorite.
